Lazy when another guy has already prepared 3 days of meals for 8 other people (including me).
I think all I contributed was my energy for all the hiking, games, and running around.
I think I gave some good massages, and even found some other techniques to use.
I definitely tried my best to have my ears open to anything people wanted to tell me, like what to do after getting a sunstroke, how to peel an orange, what I can help with, etc.
Huh, so what was the course of events?
Julia picked me up on Saturday morning, I was off schedule by 5 minutes and still forgot to pack extra socks and my swimming trunks.
I figured since they were not essentials like underwear or clothing, I would be fine to not worry about them.
Met up with everybody, and decided last minute that we needed to use 2 cars instead of 1.
Probably because the some people packed more than they needed, which I won't complain because 1. I'm not driving, 2. I used some of the stuff they brought.
I just kept in mind that I don't want to worry about extra things, so I packed 1 backpack of things, and carried along a small drawstring backpack and my pillow.
Anyway, we drove their and chatted a little bit. Not everybody were close with each other, so it was a pretty quiet drive (compared to my other car rides).
Got there, set up, made lunch, talked, fought mosquitoes, went on a long hike along the edge of the waterfall and streams, ate a peppermint leaf, went back and had dinner, played Ultimate Frisbee, played cards and Spoons, stargazed, brushed our teeth, and slept.
Got up, brushed my teeth by the river, had a little group worship and bible reading, took group pictures, had lunch, went to the beach for some water volleyball, frisbee and football, swam and climbed the cliff beside the waterfall, chilled up there while some guy was trying to hit on the girls, swam back, people went back to camp as a handful of us laid underneath the dying sun, go back and fell asleep from heatstroke, got re-hydrated and made some s'mores, sang happy birthday to Julia, and fell asleep early.
Woke up, surprise party for Julia, ate for a few hours, cleaned up the camp, took group pictures at the beach, went back to camp as it was raining, went back home with an ice-cream detour.
More to say, but that's it for now.
Feeling so different, sitting in front of a computer compared to always playing frisbee or football with all my free time.
