I expected him to asked me several months ago, but he never got around buy one, until this weekend.
I already decided ahead of time, that I didn't need it. (even though I did want it)
He finally asks, and brings me to Ebay to look at prices.
I had second thoughts and.... ugh, long story short, he was trying to get as much money out of me possible without having me feel ripped off in the future.
I also didn't want him to feel ripped off, so I tried to see how serious he was by making myself sound really generous. (like buying him the whole XBox 360 for his old one)
I decided I needed to think about his offer. (XBox, 4 controllers, 35 games, no warranty obviously)
Called Mom during the weekend and listened to her thoughts.
Mom uses similar tactics, where she mentioned how I might get distracted with the XBox.
I thought about leaving it at home to play when I go back.
But then she says then it's not really worth it because I am not going to be really playing a lot.
I didn't notice it at first, but during the conversation I was like "WTH Mom, you say that it's bad if I play too much, then you say that it's bad if I don't play enough. Like what's the middle-ground?"
-cough-
And capitalize what I just said, because I was indeed shouting over the phone.
BUT, I wasn't acting like spoiled child.
I know, because I also knew that my Mom does this to force me to make my own decision.
And I was laughing at her because I caught her doing that.
Anyway, I'm just kind of upset that people are using deception around me.
But mmm, I see how people use deception for good.
Even though it pisses me off.
