First thing was to get a better breathing pattern.
I can use a single breath for continuous punches, but I don't know the right timing for breathing.
Work on my eyesight.
Apparently doing exercise with your eyes can improve eyesight. Gonna give that a try.
I've got other ideas, but I think I've single the 2 important ones I want to focus on.
There are other things to improve, well yeah, I can always get better.
But I have improved from last year, let's see.
I have the ability to close distances.
Both my jabs and backhand punches have increased in speed.
I understand the katas well enough to assist in the club.
Pretty much the basics, my teacher's been encouraging me in these aspects very well.
The only thing he doesn't force onto us, is sparring.
Which I don't mind, cause I prefer to run away from opponents that I feel like I can't win against.
That sounds cowardly, but I would never kick a guy that's 50lbs heavier than me.
Because one, it wouldn't really hurt them (cause I'm not going to kick my sensei's balls).
And two, they can catch it so easily, that kicking's pretty much useless.
Anyways, I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay in karate.
I want to stay until I get my black belt, but I don't know if I have enough time in my later years.
Btw, Laurentian Karate club's minimum amount of years to get to a black belt, is 4.5 years.
But other other universities, 2 years.
Hmm.
